We are behind on planning this year already, lets get a date nailed down ASAP :)

I'd be fine for the last weekend of July, that seemed to have the best turnout so far.

I've also had a couple people PM that are local in Columbus and interested in coming and they could maybe help plan or scout any areas if we need it.

no, I would guess there will be more discussion or maybe a poll or something, I don't know what the plan is. I would guess people will want to get as much info as possible and not jump in to a date and have issues with it like last year.

first things first. who got the time, patience, knowledge, and rep to organize it this year. id love to help, but i have to 100% step down from any responsibility this year with a new baby and a new job.

I can help plan some of the stuff again this year, like I've done the last 2 years, as long as its a weekend that I can be there. I have a couple local contacts that could help too for scouting, etc. It would take more than just one person to do all the planning though.

Well its not whats best for me, its whats best for most people, but we aren't getting a whole lot of feedback yet.

The one thing I will say is...once the date is picked this year, lets not change it for any reason....we don't need last year to happen again.



As I menioned above, there are 3 weekends I know I can't make already because of family things, all in July: July 3-4, July 23-24, and July 30-31. The rest of the spring/summer/fall is pretty open right now.

I think I'm going to try and make TO2KX this year. It's mid July. I've only been to Canada once. Maybe a nice change of scenery. I can't take off work and be away from wife/son 2 weekends in July. I think I'm bowing out of Ohio yhis year

with the Toronto meet already being set.... I think it may be best to push this to Aug or bump it to June. and yes we need to set dates again this year and learn from previous planning mishaps.

Lets keep this thread clean to actual organizing and not "im gonna be there"/"im not going" save that ish after we get the dates.

I won't be going to Canada, but I will attend Ohio this year.

Doesn't really matter to me what time it is, Labor Day weekend is a huge travel weekend and cops are out in force during that time (just something to think about) Plus we would need to reserve a camp spot or else I doubt we would get one large enough.

The park Jeff and I found was fairly nice I thought, I think we could reserve spots farther back into the camp as well. That lake area wasn't a bad area I didn't think. As for getting a hold of them..I don't remember the name of it, maybe Jeff could chime in about it.

Aug 5-8 is the Summit Lacrosse Classic in Lake Placid and my drill is 21-22. Those weekends are out for me.

good call, a new thread dedicated to finding a date would be a good idea

try to get input, if people don't provide input on the date then they have no room to argue if they don't like the date chosen. You can only spend so long trying to find the best date, before you have to go ahead and start planning.
