Man my car started smoking quite a bit on the way home again. I might be doing the whole pit-crew thing again with you nick. We also need to see if there is a Notre Dame going on that weekend as well. -Brandon

I have to stay in peoria this weekend for alumni soccer stuff. -Brandon
I am IN for this. Should I bring along the SSR Comps? Maybe they can fix them at Tire Rack.

Definitely bring them... If not, I can bring them home and have my guy look at them. It's just the lip that is missing a chunk correct? You don't by any chance have any pics do you?

The other three are fine. A little rash here or there, but tremendously functional for AutoX.

Well, I spoke to my parents, and they will not be at the lakehouse they have 30 min northeast of south bend that weekend, and they said I am welcome to use it. I may plan a similar meet like you did mike, for those interested. My dad has a garage, but mainly for tools. he does have a carport as well, so if it rains, we won't have any problems.

Do not forget to ask him if he knows how to get us some Notre Dame tickets. -Brandon

SWEET!!!
I'll post up my dad's lakehouse location and some directions in the next few days.
We can make this a weekend if you guys want to. Let me know what everyone is thinking. I was initially talking about heading up saturday afternoon, prepping and then relaxing on the water/dock until sunday, but if you guys want to head up friday, I'm sure we can work that out no problem.
Thoughts?

Thx for the invite to the site! Looks great! I'm actually gonna be in Stevensville Michigan for my 15 year reunion (YIKES) this weekend, and hope to be in S.Bend for the Auto-X. Sounds like a blast! Do you recommend registration online to reserve a spot? Think it'll be busy? My only REAL concern is I only have 1 set of tires for my car and need to drive all the way back to Cincinnati after the event. :( Would stink if I blew one out!

I think I might come out for this event. it sounds amazing and i think i wanna race.. even though my car's still putting up some problems and I think my boost is set to high cuz when i push the pedal down more than 3/4 boost is past 14 psi and it starts jumping and jerking and it doesnt produce power and it looks stupdi on the freeway. but maybe one of you guys can take a look at it.
ALSO. I got a few rims that are kinda like ^^ with a huge chunk broken off, (i dont have the pieces anymore though) can they still fix it?

Guys, as an update, I won't be able to get to my parents on friday. The plan though is to get up early on saturday and head up there.
I'll post an address for driving directions. Everyone is more than welcome to come up early saturday, hang out, stay overnight and get up for racing the next morning. As far as food, I'll bring some basics, but if there is a particular alcohol or drink or food that you wish to consume, bring it up.
I'm not crazy familiar with the area up there, and it isn't exactly a bustling city. I'll bring my bags. I'll need a head count so I know what all I will need to bring. Also, if you plan on staying the night, i would bring some blankets at least.
I'm not sure what my parents already have up there, so you get the idea.
On that note, lets get the list going (copy and repaste the list, and I will update it)

Unfortunately, the im goign to be going to six flags on the 13th with my girl, so i wont be able to hang out with you guys. but i will definetly meet you guys up at the autocross sunday morning. hopefully i get up on time. or maybe ill just come over after six flags... or maybe not i uno. w.e though. cant wait.. first time going to an autocross with the turbo..

Well, crap. Just crap. I will be unable to make it as I'll be halfway across the country. I SO want to beat more turbos (cough, Brandon, cough)...the feeling is just tremendous. I'll poke around the calendar for another one later in the year...must drive hard.

There's one I'm doing at route 66 in joliet on october 20th. You're more than welcome to stay at my place, but it's not as nice as your place.

Just looked at the site, is it true there are no DS entries? How full typically, if at all is that category?
Inspar8r
10-11-2007, 01:29 PM
Not sure, I know the Ohio autocross was pretty full in general, but that is because there was nationals just a few weeks back, and everyone was getting in practice.
So far, I'm the only STX entry. In ohio, there were 8 of us in that class
Wow...just looked at their YTD scoring. (http://www.sbrscca.org/solo/2007_points/overall/index.html) Very few DS and not many more STX entrants through the course of the year. With cooler weather rolling in, you might not have a lot there, so you could get a LOT of runs in. Good luck to all attending!

You know Mike, I'm kinda disappointed you're not coming. Can you go to the Oct 20th autocross in joliet?
I'd love to go, too, but...Vegas. My first time. Joliet is a maybe...son is home from college that weekend, and I have to fly to Dallas on the 22nd, but it's possible. Just have to align the stars. :magic: <<< Yeah, but what a great smiley it COULD be.
