the meth kit does the same job as an intercooler by cooling the air as it enters the engine.....it makes for more power by getting a more complete combustion.....hope that helps

i'm not really looking to add it as a power adder, but more as a safety precaution. the stage 1 kit seems to be pretty straight forward. just set the psi level you want the kit to spray at and just worry about running low on fluids.

i wonder if you can 'shut' the kit completely off though. it would suck if you are boosting and ran out of fluids to spray.

What effect does the ratio of meth to water have? why do people run 50% meth , 25% meth etc

i run 100% windshield washer fluid, the one for -10. works fine, and its $.99 a gallon.

x2, best stuff out there i ran this on my old F-250 Diesel that had Water/Meth hooked up, ive been looking to get a water/meth for mine, snow performance is one of the best water/meth kits out there i fell, good products, i have had great experience with them, ive installed several kits on F-250s, a EVO, and STi. Water/Meth also keeps your EGT's down, ALOT!

Also there is a switch that comes with the kit, to activate the pump, it has 2 controllers, 1 at the pump where you tell it what PSI to turn on at and what PSI to turn off at, and then there is a 12v switch that comes with the kit and you can simply turn it on when you want to run it, and turn it off. Its a really really easy water/meth kit.

the snow is realyl great.

the only thing i did replace wwas their cheap plastic fitting. i swapped to metal fittings, the plastic ones didnt look like they would last too long without leaking.

i have my OEM washer fluid reservoir if you want one. its on the floor in my basement. i took ti out cause it wasnt being used and toakes up a shitload of space behidn the fenderwell.

yeah mine leaks and the connection to the intake has popped off b/c of higher boost pressure. ill be swapping to metal very soon

My shop modified the stock washer fluid tank for my snow kit and it works fine. The LED's with the kit light up when the fluid is low.

my kit...

Cooling mist... with hte varicool controller ... having a problem right now ... it won/'t fire.... i am tempted to pull it & go with the simple Boost switch or the TPS switch.... jsut to test it....

I got the deal that whats his name worked out for the .IS members....I ended up with two tanks ... a 1g & the 1.5 tank. pump mount integraded unit... so i tapped into the bottom of each & added a balance pipe so they woudl both fill & drain equally. ( had to make sure there is a vent hole in the cap for the 1.5g main tank..)


The tank/ pump setup is shorter so I mounted the 1g tank slightly higher to help it drain into the main tank better & and i use the cap for the 1g tank to fill them both.

i had to cut a hole in my trunk panel & liner including the panel for my sub ( pictured later..) so i could refill the tanks without pulling my entire trunk apart...


but it doesnt look to bad at all...
