I just got 180 miles from full to gas light, that's the lowest I can ever recall it being.... What's the worst you guys/gals have had?

That's what happens when you get a new playmate in town, Sam...out regularly running against the Red Rocket? I, too, rarely check mpg although I did average just over 24mpg to and from Oxford/Hamilton last weekend running about 75 the whole time. Checking mileage just depresses me, although the IS300 is better than my truck (QuadCab 4x4 Hemi) - ouch!

wow... I must be special or a granny driver compared to you guys. I use 93 octane and get at least 315-330 miles out of a full tank.

Low 300s is what I get, though may worst has been this past week with all the snow, it was 282.

My wife's TSX is ridiculous. Filled it up all the way, and the range read: 416 miles to empty.

unreal.

I went to Dallas over the holidays from Mobile AL. I averaged around 25-26mpg on the interstate. I get around 18-20 in the city. Not the best gas mileage but it is a fun car for sure..

snow mode will not help milage....if any thing it hurts it because you have to use more throttle to accelerate the same....more air=more fuel

Not true Tom, in an auto, it limits throttle position, and eliminates downshifting for acceleration. I always get better mileage with snow mode. The downshift (simulated accelarator pump on injection) and WOT are the two reasons mileage drops. Other things like tire inflation, air cleaner and oil changes help also. I keep a log of all my miles, fillups and maintenance in a little book in the glove box. It helps out when I can't remeber the last time I did something or if I need to compare mileage at any point.

I average 20-22 and I use a lot of throttle. This is with the GTE bottom end that has better lubrication of the piston skirts, maybe that adds to the efficiency.

When I womp on it on a full tank to empty, I get 220-260 miles. If I drive grandpa style, I will get 340-380 miles. When I was stock, I would run over 400 miles. Thats all with stock 17's.

225 miles from full to gas light, at 60mph and mostly 40 on the streets. (premium). Q: is is safe to keep pumping even when the gas pump stops? like keep putting gas when the machine stops because the tankis "full"?

I would definitely give you an answer to this. But I am not 100% sure of what I am talking about.

Edit: found the answer and posted a new thread about it. ;)

The lowest I've gotten out of a tank is 320 miles. The most is slightly over 400 and the light had been on for a while, but when I filled up it only took 15 gallons.

I am getting about 18mpg city on my GS350AWD. the onboard trip computer is WAAAY off with its 13.2 MPG estimate. I calculated the old school way....

I filled up... set my tripA computer to 0
drove around normally.

I filled up again in 2 weeks, and divided the number of miles driven by the number of gallons needed to fill up.

With my IS300 - For the record... I have gotten over 430 miles/tank hwy in one haul from NYC to Niagara Falls.
